About the Role
Foul Pole Sports is a dynamic media company focused on baseball content, and we're looking for a social media intern to join our team! As a paid intern, you'll report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and receive weekly training in social media growth, automation and analytics.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong attention to detail, basic knowledge of social media platforms, and a passion for sports marketing (baseball preferred). Digital marketing, content marketing, and website design knowledge are a plus, but not required. You should also be goal-driven, results-oriented, and have a strong work ethic, even while working remotely.
As an intern, you'll work remotely and meet virtually or in person with the Chief Growth Officer once or twice a week for no more than an hour to prepare for the week ahead and learn something new. You should be an effective communicator with the ability to receive feedback and be willing to commit to at least 10 hours per week. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with a growing social media company and network within the sports industry.
Monitoring and managing one or two of the company's social media accounts, including Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
Coming up with creative ways to engage athletes, coaches, and parents using social media
Assisting in the growth of the brand through social media
Scheduling social media posts
Writing captions for social media posts that are clever and trendy
Brainstorming campaign ideas to grow the company's social media platforms
Analyzing analytics to gauge the success of campaigns and track user response to different content
Interacting with followers on social media and potential customers by answering their questions
Providing suggestions and creative ideas for improving the consumer experience on social platforms, websites, and marketing efforts
Assisting in implementing plans to increase social media followers
About the Company
In 2017, Foul Pole Sports was founded with the goal of providing uncensored college baseball coverage for players and fans.
Since then, we have accumulated over 180,000 followers across various social media platforms, becoming the center for everything that happens both inside and outside the lines at the collegiate level.
In 2018, we launched our extremely successful line of flags that are perfect for locker rooms and baseball houses. Later that same year, we introduced a line of merchandise that allows players to express themselves everywhere they go.
In 2021, we re-branded our logo, website, flags, and merchandise to bring you high quality uncensored coverage like never before.
